Beginning Linux

In this beginning course, participants will develop a good working knowledge of Linux using both the graphical interface and command line. Participants will begin to learn GNU and Unix commands and formats, environment variables, command histories, and pipes, streams and redirects. Linux partitions, file system architecture, and integrity issues are examined. In addition, participants will delve into administrative tasks including adding, removing, changing, and suspending user accounts and group management. Upon completion of this introductory training, participants should have a good working knowledge of beginning Linux fundamentals.
